Pocket Stoic (“the App”) is developed by Circles App LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
By using Pocket Stoic, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
We collect only the data necessary to operate the app and its features.
Account Information • Email address (for login) • Username (visible on the global leaderboard) • Profile photo (visible on the global leaderboard) • Authentication tokens (managed by Firebase Authentication)
App Usage Data • XP, levels, streaks • Deep work sessions, completion status • Daily tasks, support actions, and reflections • In-app behavior (non-sensitive analytics)
Device & Technical Data • Device model • Operating system version • Anonymous identifiers for analytics (Firebase Analytics)
Stored Media • Quote images stored in the app or retrieved from the cloud • Widget images displayed on the user’s home screen
Subscription & Purchase Data • We do not receive or store your payment card information • All payments are handled through Apple’s App Store • Apple provides subscription status (active, expired, canceled)
How We Use Your Information
We use your information for:
• Account creation and login • Displaying usernames + profile photos on the global leaderboard • Syncing XP, levels, streaks, and task history • Operating the no-cheat deep work timer • Generating daily quotes, reflections, and productivity recommendations • Sending optional notifications • Processing subscription features • Analytics to improve app performance • Ensuring app security and preventing misuse
We do not sell your data.
The following may be visible to all Pocket Stoic users:
• Your username • Your profile photo • Your current level / XP on the global leaderboard
You can edit or remove your username or profile photo at any time.
We use Google Firebase and Firestore to securely store your data. Firebase provides:
• Encrypted data transfer (HTTPS) • Encrypted storage at rest • Authentication protections • Firestore security rules limiting access to your data
We do not share or sell your personal information except:
Service Providers • Firebase Authentication • Firebase Firestore • Firebase Analytics • Superwall • Apple (subscription processing)
Legal Compliance We may disclose information if required by law or a government authority.
We never share reflections, deep work sessions, or personal productivity data with other users.
Pocket Stoic is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted.
We retain your data as long as your account remains active.
If you delete your account: • All personal data (email, username, photo, XP, tasks, reflections) is permanently deleted from Firestore. • Deletion typically completes within 30 days.
You may request to:
• Access your data • Update your account info • Change or remove your leaderboard profile photo • Delete your account and associated data • Export your data

We follow industry-standard security practices and use Firebase protections. However, no digital service can guarantee 100% security.
